Pingtung Endangered Wildlife Rescue Center
This center is one of the wildlife rescue and care mechanisms gradually established by the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan in response to the promulgation of the "Wildlife Conservation Act" in 1989. Local governments, police agencies, and customs officers have been confiscating locally captured or smuggled endangered wildlife from other countries and regions. The center ensures that confiscated animals receive proper care while awaiting investigation, court verdicts, or return to their native habitats.
